The Aadicura July 2025 Newsletter focuses on orthopaedic awareness while presenting a complex vascular success story and institutional development initiatives. The issue opens with a “Myths vs Facts” feature from the Orthopaedic Department, addressing common misconceptions that often delay timely treatment. It clarifies that fractures may still allow limited movement and require imaging confirmation; prolonged bed rest may worsen back pain; appropriate exercise strengthens joints rather than harming them; and cracking knuckles does not cause arthritis. The newsletter further emphasises that surgery is not always the only solution for orthopaedic conditions, osteoporosis affects both men and women, joint pain is not an inevitable part of ageing, and post-surgical pain is typically part of the healing process. Preventive guidance is provided through orthopaedic health tips such as maintaining healthy weight, improving posture, strengthening and stretching routines, adequate hydration, and wearing supportive footwear. The department features Dr Vivek Parikh and Dr Chirag Patel as orthopaedic specialists at Aadicura.

The “Know Your Team” section introduces key administrative and support leaders including Dr Alpa Parmar (Medical Services – DGM), Alphonsa NP (Nursing – GM), Anita Patel (Billing Manager), and Chhaya Patel (Customer Care – Sr. Manager). Their perspectives highlight patient-centric systems, ethical governance, teamwork, and service excellence. This segment reinforces that clinical outcomes are strengthened by strong operational leadership and collaborative care processes across departments.

The success story in this edition presents a case titled “Right Superficial Femoral Artery Pseudoaneurysm (PSA) with Expanding Right Thigh Hematoma.” A 75-year-old female developed a rapidly enlarging groin and thigh hematoma following a femoral access procedure at another facility. Imaging confirmed a pseudoaneurysm of the right superficial femoral artery. Initial conservative management did not prevent progression, necessitating referral to the Aadicura Vascular Team. CT angiography confirmed the diagnosis, and the patient underwent a minimally invasive hybrid endovascular procedure. A covered stent graft was deployed across the pseudoaneurysm, successfully excluding the lesion.

Following endovascular repair, surgical evacuation of approximately 750–1000 ml of hematoma was performed through limited incisions, with subsequent wound management using VAC dressing. The patient’s recovery was uneventful, and she was stabilised and discharged on medical management. The vascular and endovascular specialists involved in this case include Dr Vijay Thakore, Dr Sumit Kapadia, Dr Hiten Patel, Dr Kushan Nanavati, and Dr Parth Joshi. The “Take Home Message” emphasises that complex groin pseudoaneurysms can be effectively managed with a combination of endovascular techniques and minimal surgical intervention, ensuring safe outcomes even in high-risk patients.

The “Star Performers” section recognises Rahul Padhiyar and Vishal Shah as Best Employees of the Month. Kartik Derola and Kinnari Parmar were honoured as Best Nursing Staff, while Saraswati Shinde, Rohan Shinde, and Jayeshbhai Patel were acknowledged as Best Multitasking Staff of the Month. This segment reflects Aadicura’s structured culture of performance recognition across clinical and support services.

These initiatives reinforce Aadicura’s commitment to continuous professional education, preventive health outreach, and holistic well-being.

Overall, the July 2025 Newsletter reflects Aadicura Superspeciality Hospital’s balanced approach to myth-based awareness, complex vascular intervention, institutional teamwork, and community engagement.
